In a special bonus episode of the “New Heights” podcast, Travis and Jason Kelce share their top Taylor Swift tracks, from fan favorites to unexpected picks.
Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, is known for his iconic plays on the football field, but lately, he’s been just as famous for his relationship with pop superstar Taylor Swift. In a recent bonus episode of the New Heights podcast with his brother, Jason, Travis opened up about his favorite songs from Swift’s extensive discography, providing fans with a glimpse into his musical tastes—many of which include some of Swift’s most iconic tracks.
When asked by a fan which Taylor Swift songs he would listen to forever, Travis was quick to highlight “Blank Space,” the 1989 hit. “It’s just unbelievable, everything about it,” he said, reiterating his long-time admiration for the track. But there’s more to Travis’s newfound Swiftie journey than just his love for classic hits. He went on to share a more recent favorite—“Death By a Thousand Cuts”—a song he admitted took some time for him to truly appreciate. “It’s one that I’ve learned to absolutely love,” Travis confessed, crediting Swift’s NPR Tiny Desk performance for sparking his affection for the song.
But that’s not all. Travis also mentioned “The Alchemy,” a track from Swift’s latest album The Tortured Poets Department (TTPD), which has become a fan favorite due to its intimate and vulnerable lyrics. Many believe the song is inspired by Travis himself, as are other tracks from TTPD, like “So High School.” Travis added to the speculation by calling out “Cowboy Like Me” from Swift’s Evermore album, another track that has appeared in the surprise song section of Swift’s Eras Tour performances, with Travis spotted in the audience on more than one occasion.
Jason Kelce, not one to be left out of the Swiftie fun, also revealed his personal favorite Taylor Swift song. “Everybody knows mine is ‘I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,’” he said, giving a special shout-out to the TTPD single, which he described as the definitive track for him.
For Travis, his Swiftie journey started back in 2023 when he famously tried to give Taylor a friendship bracelet with his phone number at one of her Kansas City Eras Tour stops. After a bit of a mix-up, the pair eventually confirmed their relationship publicly, with Taylor seen cheering on Travis at a Chiefs game in September 2023.
As Taylor continues to dominate the music scene and Travis excels on the football field, the pair’s connection only seems to grow stronger. Whether it’s through their love for each other or their shared musical interests, it’s clear that the Kelce brothers and their favorite Taylor Swift songs are here to stay.
