The pop star is focused on touring, motherhood, and personal growth while co-parenting daughter Daisy with Bloom
Katy Perry is turning her attention inward following the end of her nearly decade-long relationship with Orlando Bloom.
The Firework singer, 40, is currently in the middle of her Lifetimes World Tour while raising her daughter Daisy Dove, who turns 5 on Aug. 26. A source tells PEOPLE that Perry is not prioritizing romance in this chapter of her life.
“Katy isn’t looking to date right now,” the source says. “She’s still in the middle of a tour; she’s a single mom and navigating some major personal changes.”
A Shift After Nine Years Together
In late June, Perry and Bloom, 48, confirmed they had ended their engagement after an on-and-off relationship that spanned nine years. The former couple welcomed Daisy in August 2020.

Representatives for the pair shared a joint statement on July 3, noting that while their romantic relationship had shifted, their shared commitment to co-parenting remains unwavering.
“Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry’s relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting,” the statement read.
“They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect.”
A second source emphasized the importance of keeping things amicable for Daisy’s sake: “Katy has every intention of maintaining a positive and respectful relationship with Orlando. He’s the father of their daughter and that will always come first for her.”
“They’ve been through a lot together and while they’ve decided to go their separate ways, there’s still a mutual respect between them. They’re still very much in touch and co-parenting Daisy together. For the sake of their daughter, they’re committed to keeping things amicable.”
Balancing Tour Life and Motherhood
Amid her split, Perry has remained busy with her Lifetimes World Tour, which kicked off in April and runs through December. The colorful, high-energy show celebrates music from across her career with elaborate sets and costumes.
Her daughter Daisy has joined her on the road this summer, including for a stop in Australia where the pair attended a meet-and-greet with beloved children’s characters Bluey and Bingo. Daisy wore a sparkling Bluey dress for the occasion.

On Aug. 6, Perry shared sweet behind-the-scenes moments with her daughter on Instagram, including a photo of Daisy pressing her face against a massive window and a clip of her singing during a puppet show. “We continue to be on tour,” Perry captioned the carousel.
Keeping Things Grounded
Even as headlines swirl around her personal life, Perry has leaned into her role as a mother first. She continues to show pride in Daisy’s milestones while working to maintain a stable co-parenting relationship with Bloom.
In late July, Perry also made news when she was spotted grabbing dinner in Montreal with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Just days later, he attended her concert at the city’s Bell Centre.
For now, however, Perry’s focus remains clear: motherhood, music, and navigating this new chapter with strength and balance.
