SKIMS Founder Reveals Harrowing Moments After Jewelry Heist and Her Statement of Power in Court
Kim Kardashian revisited one of the most terrifying moments of her life on the latest episode of The Kardashians, revealing the intense fear she experienced during and immediately after her 2016 Paris robbery. Held at gunpoint and robbed of over $10 million in jewelry while staying at the No Address Hotel, Kardashian was in full “fight or flight” mode, contemplating extreme measures for her safety.
On the December 4 episode, fans got an intimate look at her state of mind during those critical minutes. Her childhood friend Simone Harouche, who was staying in the room below and overheard the heist, recalled that Kim opened the window and said, “If they come back, we’re jumping out the window.” Kris Jenner confirmed she received a panicked call from her daughter, who was “ready to jump” if the masked robbers returned.

Harouche described the sheer desperation and terror of the moment: “That’s how scary it was… jumping out of a window and breaking our bodies seemed like the only option for safety.” Kim herself admitted, “I was down for anything.”
Returning to Paris in May 2025 to testify in the trial of ten suspects involved in the heist, Kardashian made a bold statement of resilience by wearing diamonds to court, including a 22-carat ring stolen in the robbery. “They’re not gonna take my power — I wanna be who I wanna be, and I feel like they took that away from me for so long,” she explained. For years following the robbery, Kim avoided wearing diamonds, and it profoundly altered how she managed her home and possessions. “I want to taunt the f— out of these losers,” she said. “I wanna wear whatever the f— I wanna wear, if I wanna wear it.”

Eight of the ten suspects involved in the case were found guilty following Kardashian’s testimony. She expressed gratitude toward the French authorities, stating, “The crime was the most terrifying experience of my life, leaving a lasting impact on me and my family. While I’ll never forget what happened, I believe in the power of growth and accountability and pray for healing for all. I remain committed to advocating for justice, and promoting a fair legal system.”
The episode highlights not only Kardashian’s courage during one of her darkest moments but also her determination to reclaim her power and voice in the aftermath of trauma. New episodes of The Kardashians premiere Thursdays at 12 a.m. ET on Hulu.
